Ordinary objects and everyday utensils are the focus of my work, allowing me to create a Still life from the domestic environments. Less concerned with the objects themselves, they are used as a tool to explore formal relationships. I am interested in the personification of these implements and exploring the conversations which take place when they are juxtaposed. The resulting harmonies although hard to achieve, are rewarding in their dynamic flatness. I work mainly with paint and printmaiking processes, however digital technology and textiles also feed into my work.
